Our Mission

Native RITES is an organization dedicated to bringing together a diverse and dispersed indigenous population across the MidSouth and SouthEast. We are interested in promoting the interest and welfare of those colonized by the U.S., including but not limited to North American First Nations (Native Americans), Native Hawaiians (kanaka maoli), Puerto Ricans, and those displaced by U.S. aggression in other nations who find themselves in our community. We recognize that colonization affects all of us, and our mission aligns with many others, including Black Lives Matter and the Mariposas Collective. We organize around social and political issues, and are committed to educating, celebrating, and advocating for our community.
